Our students from Kindergarten to Secondary school through our Bright Futures programs receive an enriched educational experience which prepares  them for success.

Our Kindergarten to Elementary programs follow the local Trinidad and Tobago Curriculum and our Secondary School program is based on the US Common Core Curriculum which prepares students for 21st-century learning and university-level instruction.

After completion of Secondary School students receive an Internationally accredited Diploma for entry into tertiary institutions locally and Internationally. We also offer SAT Tutoring in Trinidad for Secondary School Graduates to further enhance our students’ academic success.

At Apex we will develop a custom learning plan focused on the skills your child needs to succeed. Our experienced educators use current and modern instructional methodologies to empower students to reach their full potential and succeed in the modern world.

Our teachers are carefully chosen because they share a love for teaching, and a commitment to support, encourage and educate every student.

Our Programs are available to students in  one of the following 3 options.

1) A Virtual programme (Eligible Ages 10 – 17)

2) In-person programme (Eligible Ages 5 -17)

3) A Hybrid Programme (A Hybrid programme is a combination of in person classes and virtual classes).(Eligible Ages 10 – 17)

**Students ages 15-17 are eligible for our SAT Prep Programme.

STEM and Project Based Learning(PBL)

STEM (Science, Technology,Engineering and Math) as well as Project Based Learning (PBL) are teaching methodologies by which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge.

Why is STEM & Project Based Learning (PBL) Important ?

Information for Parents

We accept students at ages 5+

We have implemented solutions that are rigorous and engaging. We facilitate  learners through the controlled and structured formats of  in-person classroom instruction,  and virtual classes where necessary.

Our Grades Kindergarten to grade 5 Elementary School programme consists of the main Subjects below and additional subject areas also:

  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • English and Language arts

Our Middle School Grades 6-8 programme is designed  for students ages 11+ and consists of the main Subjects below and additional subject areas as well:

  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • English and Language arts

  • Business Studies
  • Information Technology
  • STEM – Project Based Learning

 

Our High School Grades 9-12 programme is designed  for students ages  13+ and consists of a 22 credit course track across 10 subject areas and electives, which leads to Graduation with an International COGNIA  High School Diploma.

For Elementary level purchase of textbooks and workbooks may be required. Students are responsible for their own stationery supplies and project based learning materials.

Our Kindergarten and Elementary Curriculum is pegged to our local Trindad and Tobago curriculum. However our students are not mandated to sit the SEA exam as they can transition to  Our Middle and Secondary programme at age 10. This programme is pegged to the USA Common Core curriculum and leads to an Internationally COGNIA Accredited High School Diploma upon completion at age 17. Upon Completion of this programme students may enroll in our SAT Prep classes if they wish to pursue tertiary education abroad.

No, Our students ages 10+  can transition to  Our Middle and Secondary programme upon completion of Grade 5. Yes, We accept students who have already taken standardised exams such as SEA or CXC and evaluate reports for admission into our Academy.

No, Our students are not mandated or required to sit any standardised exams.

YES, Our students ages 15+  are eligible for our SAT Prep programmes from Grade 10+

High School Students upon Graduation will receive an Internationally USA COGNIA Accredited High School Diploma.

Upon Completion of this programme students may pursue tertiary education locally or enroll in our SAT Prep classes if they wish to pursue tertiary education abroad.

Yes, we are an inclusive Academy. Our programme supports students of varying abilities and our staff and the teachers work to ensure that ALL our students meet their individual goals and objectives outlined in their individual education plan.

Students who have been evaluated for additional needs are also welcome to apply to our programme a determination will be made to ensure that we have the capacity to serve individual student needs.

 Apex may also recommend programmed better suited for your child(ren)’s education as required.

Yes, Our approach to learning is student-centered by recognizing that ALL our students can meet their individual goals and objectives using an individual learning plan.

In order to effectively serve the specific needs of our Students the Virtual Academy will use a combination of several Platforms: E Courses, Zoom Conferencing, Email,Google Classroom and Telephone.

Parents are availed of parent conferences and also provided with learning Management system login information so that they can see the progress of their student at any time.

Apex is a co-educational school where our students are expected to adhere to all policies and guidelines outlined in our Handbook. We also have both male and female staff members to ensure that students receive holistic social development as well. Apex International Academy is a legally registered entity currently operating under the framework of the updated private school policy (2023-27) framework. All teachers are registered with the Ministry of Education and our curriculum follows the current primary school SEA curriculum set forth by the Ministry.

YES, Apex offers payment plans. Once accepted only Tuition and application admin fees are required for enrollment.

We do not have Capital Fund Fees or any additional recurring fees. School Fees cover tuition only. Uniforms, Lunch and Transportation costs are separate and not covered by Tuition Fees.Please see our parent-student handbook for more information.
